Teacher Training


Refine your teaching and reignite your passion in this one-day workshop. This is an excellent opportunity to build confidence in your hands, learn new assists, and connect with other teachers in your community.

Whether you are a brand new teacher or have been at it for years, you will leave with lots of new tools to incorporate into your group classes and with private clients. Learn assists for seated poses, back bends, twists, standing poses and Savasana. The training will also cover pose modifications for students with injuries.

This workshop is open to teachers of all styles and levels. Also open to students currently enrolled in a teacher training course.

This year-long program follows a streamlined curriculum that has been developed to offer you a continuing education program in the art of teaching Forrest Yoga® continuing the transformations you have started in the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training. Your Forrest Yoga Guardian will help you (the mentee) on your personal and professional development into an excellent yoga teacher and offer guidance to you on your journey to become a Forrest Yoga Certified Teacher.

The program encompasses:

  • Teaching skills
  • Hand-on assists
  • Sequencing
  • Assisting a class
  • Working with injuries
  • Seeing
  • Basic Ceremony
  • Guided Writing Process for Setting Intent
  • Quarterly conference calls (bridge calls)

In addition, Denise will be available by phone or e-mail for ongoing guidance regarding teaching Forrest Yoga and you will be teamed up to work long term with a fellow mentee to help you identify and achieve your goals, and be guided through your certification homework assignments to help you achieve your status as Forrest Yoga Certified Teacher.


Forrest Yoga Guardians
The Forrest Yoga Guardians are hand-picked by Ana Forrest and serve as Guardians of the legacy of Forrest Yoga and mentors to the Hoop of the Teachers. Each Forrest Yoga Guardian has gone through intensive training with Ana to learn the skills required to be a mentor for teachers. Each Forrest Yoga Guardian brings a unique experience and insight to your continuing education.



The Forrest Yoga® Continuing Education for Effective Coaching and Teaching is a 6-day training designed for Forrest Yoga® Teachers who want to assist Forrest Yoga® Teacher Trainings, those interested in teaching others how to teach, and those wanting to up-level their teaching and assisting skills. The aim of the training is to make you a more skillful, compassionate and intelligent coach and teacher, so you are better equipped to deal with whatever challenges you and your students may face.

This training teaches Assistants how to coach and teach trainees within the Forrest Yoga® teacher training curriculum. You will learn and practice coaching techniques including how to give teaching feedback, how to work with triggers and challenges that trainees face, and how to coach hands-on assists. Most importantly, you will learn how to create and hold a safe space for learning and growing. This training is a module of the 300-Hour Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training, a training that is open to yoga teachers of any background or style. Completion of this module will help you gain your 300-Hour advanced teaching certification with Forrest Yoga.

You must be a graduate of the 200-Hour Forrest Yoga® Foundation Teacher Training or a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training of a different lineage.
