It’s time for “you to do you.”
Every single day we have the opportunity to do things differently, to make choices that support our well-being and our innate desire to live passionately. But for some reason, January 1st signifies a time of renewal in our culture.
The resolve to change is about shifting our lives in the direction of growth and expansion. The work is both internal and external. Personally, my yoga practice helps with both.
Being on the mat is like looking in the mirror. Our thought patterns and habits are magnified.
In my practice, I know I am neglecting myself in my life when my breath is shallow. I know I am avoiding dealing with my own shit when my thoughts are all about solving everyone else’s problems.
This change thing is not always easy. That’s why a huge percentage of people fizzle out on their “New Year’s Resolutions” in March.
Can we do this together and support each other through it all? Can this be the year that we follow through on own own self care?
