Psychosomatically our hips hold life lessons related to security, survival, communication, birth, creativity, and relationships. What is fascinating is that the pelvis is the dividing line between action and creation (upper body) and direction and movement (lower body). When we feel stuck here, we tend to feel stuck in our life’s path- doubting or hesitating about what our next step forward should be. Our hamstrings play a part in this too, as our legs walk us down our life’s path.
In this special Forrest Yoga intensive, we will work to open the hips through their fullest range of motion, as well as practicing ways to both strengthen and stretch the hamstrings. Expect lots of pigeons, psoas openers, accessible ways to stretch tight hamstrings and more!
